This series of videos is named Distant Lovers inspired by Marvin Gaye’s song - Distant Lover. The videos are comparable to collages, collages which are videos sent from my dad and video calls with my family members that are screen record on WhatsApp. Screen recording these calls is for me a way of building a bridge filling the 8000km gap that separates me from my loves ones. We talk about everything and anything, but what’s matter to me is their expression, the palpable gaze I can see but not touch…, the joy, the sadness, the indifference they sharing with me through the phone.
